At Pattiesmuir we understand the value of meeting face-to-face and online to learn from others and develop and maintain our networks however, we are not ‘another events company’.

We’ve been to those professional conferences where you spend half the time with your head in your phone waiting for the speaker you really want to hear from, those conferences where you’re only really there for a bit of networking and a nice lunch, and those academic talking shops where lots of interesting things get said but little actually leaves the bubble or gets done in practice. We want to change that.

Most of us can remember that one event where a chance conversation led to something much bigger – that key insight that changed the way we think, that game-changing project, or that life-long friendship with someone who sees the world through a similar pair of eyes. They don’t happen often enough, but we know how to make them more likely.

Pattiesmuir’s roots began growing when a group of people came together to do something. That something sparked a friendship and, nurtured by a few drinks, grew a new shoot that became our company. In the same way, our events are designed to help people, businesses, organisations, and communities to grow. We firmly believe that the solutions to tackling the many problems facing our society today – climate change, social and economic deprivation, energy crises, the locking up of our natural capital, etc – are rooted in our greatest assets, our people and our communities. All we need to do is nurture them and support them to grow organically.

We can offer a range of events, everything from short online sessions through to full conferences, as well as services to support them. Whether you’d like to give us a brief and let us come back to you with a fully-curated proposal, form a partnership to deliver on your big idea, or need specialist support to enhance your project, you’ll find us ready, willing and able to help you.
